🌟 Meet Our New Supply Chain Manager – David Joyce 🌟

We’re thrilled to welcome David Joyce to Nittan Europe team! With a strong background in logistics, operations, and supply chain strategy, he brings a wealth of experience and a passion for efficiency to the role.

To help you get to know David better, we asked a few quick questions…

  1. What inspired you to join Nittan Europe?

Nittan is a company with good history and longevity within the fire protection industry. I saw Nittan as an opportunity to not only grow my career but to also be proud of what the company does, saving lives with the products we sell is highly motivating and inspiring. What Nittan does makes a tangible difference every day. It’s both technically challenging and deeply meaningful work.

  1. Can you tell us a bit about your background and what you’ll be doing here?

I have worked in warehousing and logistics within different industries for over 20 years to which I have gained vast experience with stock management, logistics and planning. I started my career within the food industry working with chilled, frozen and ambient products, with both short and long shelf lives. I have worked within the electrical and mechanical sector and also the Aerospace sector dealing with thousands of different part numbers including Military controlled items. I have gained a lot of experience within these fields which I can bring to Nittan.

  1. What’s one thing you’re most excited about in your new role?

I’m most excited about the opportunity to apply my skills in a way that directly contributes to life safety. Being part of a company that designs and manufactures systems to protect lives and property is incredibly motivating. I’m looking forward to learning from the wealth of experience within Nittan to grow both technically and professionally.

  1. What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I am a keen golfer and snooker player although not very good at either. I also enjoy drawing and creative writing. I love the way a drawing evolves from a blank piece of paper to something quite special. I enjoy the sense of achievement when completing a project.

  1. What’s a fun fact about you that most people wouldn’t guess?

Something that most people do not know about me is that I have published a children’s book that I wrote and illustrated myself. If I am allowed to plug my book the title is ‘Is there a Monster under my bed’. There are books of similar titles so be sure to check the authors name to be sure it is mine. It’s not a scary book I promise. Suitable for all ages. Plug over.
