The EV-DIN-SCI is a DIN Rail mountable Short Circuit Isolator (-ve Line), suitable for all device types of Evolution analogue addressable products, including detectors and I/O devices. This device is intended to be mounted on a “DIN” rail inside a suitable enclosure to provide ingress protection and electrical safety. The EV-DIN-SCI is designed to provide Short Circuit Protection, without the need for any special device setting and is self-resetting when the fault clears. The EV-DIN-SCI can be used to spur addressable device(s) from the Loop. However, a short circuit on the spur will be applied to the main Loop, so the next Loop device in each direction shall include an SCI.
