The EV-PYH is an Optical Smoke/Heat Detector, that comes to the market with some exciting new technological advances centred on an enhanced new “PY” smoke sensing chamber.
The EV-PYH is designed as a backward compatible replacement for the EV-PH and fully compatible with Evolution analogue addressable systems.
The sensor includes a spherical feature within the smoke chamber, providing unrivalled performance for scattering light, plus an Orange LED, which significantly improves response across the fire spectrum. The Chamber construction is designed to minimise the effect of dirt/dust contamination with a fine micromesh made of stainless steel to prevent ingress of even the smallest insects which can create false alarms.
This advanced Multi Sensor is able to combine the benefits of both optical and heat sensing technologies making it less prone to false alarms than individual sensing devices. An innovative Nittan designed algorithm reads both signals simultaneously and generates alarm signals from either (or both) sensor(s). The Heat sensor is Category A1R.
