Nittan are proud to announce the introduction of new and exciting models to our Evolution analogue addressable range.
Available from 1st September 2024. Specific improvements include use of Nittan’s “PY” smoke sensing chamber and microprocessor control to enhance settings, plus the availability of integral short circuit isolator models.
Smoke detection makes best use of Nittan’s “PY” chamber that includes a spherical feature within the smoke chamber providing unrivalled performance for scattering light. Plus an Orange LED, which significantly improves response across the fire spectrum. This allows us to provide five EN54:7 certified sensitivity settings.
The Chamber construction is also designed to minimise the effect of dirt/dust contamination and with a fine micromesh made of stainless steel to prevent ingress of even the smallest insects which can create false alarms.
The EV-H2-SCI Heat detector model offers EN 54:5 Heat Category P programmable to four settings A1R, A2S, BS & CS.
The EV-PYH-SCI Smoke/Heat detector also has the four Category P settings, plus an additional setting for combined smoke heat model Certified to EN 54 part 29 for Multisensors.
The integral Short Circuit Isolator is bi-directional and in the event of an external fault will shut down on one side to protect the system, whilst allowing the device to continue communication with the fire alarm control panel from the opposite side. The isolator has a very low internal resistance (Zcmax) of less than 50mΩ and will self-reset when the fault is cleared.
*Please note, for detectors with integral Isolator, a UB-6-SL-EV base with Sliding Link must be used to preserve loop continuity should a device be removed.
In addition, non-isolator variants are backwards compatible with older Evolution models to provide seamless support on existing sites.
